Our multinational client, a leader in the manufacture of optoelectronic components, is in search of experts for their headquarters in Germany, specifically:
Chip Development Engineer – Infrared Laser Diodes
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Development of infrared laser diode chips based on AlGaAs material system
- Project support and leadership for further laser platform development
- Exploration of novel concepts and optimization of existing process flows in strong cooperation with process development and manufacturing
- Solving complex problems in design and process in a sustainable and systematic way
- Deeply analyze and understand interactions between chip design and process flow
Qualifications
- Degree in physics, electrical engineering, chemistry or a related field
- Professional experience in the semiconductor industry > 3 years
- Expertise in semiconductor technology and device physics, especially laser diodes
- Broad experience in Semiconductor Frontend processes and their interactions
- Experience in leading complex projects, project management curriculum beneficial
- Strong problem-solving and analytic thinking skills
- Structured and independent way of working, assertiveness as well as ability to lead teams
- Full professional English proficiency, intermediate German language skills preferred

3+ yrs exp in semiconductors
Relevant exp in the development of laser diodes
LED mfg knowledge
Experience in leading complex projects
