On behalf of a company that produces components for household cooking appliances,we are looking for a creative Mechanical Engineer to work on product stages from research and development to design and manufacture for a well-regarded home appliance industry. The goal is to design mechanical components made of plastic, sheet metal & packaging material.
Mechanical Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and 2D and 3D digital models of mechanical equipment designs, using measurements, specifications and additional data from engineering team.
• Design mechanical parts by using cad tool and developing specifications and methods.
• Create, read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Creating engineering CN/EN and handling BOM.
• Collect initial drawings, calculations and design ideas from engineers, and combine all relevant data into coherent and complete initial design models for review and modification.
• Contribute to system and product quality by assembling the product and system; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
• Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Good ability to work in teams and manage workgroups, problem-solving and strategic vision.
• Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Global exposure while working with a global team.
• Good ability to relate to people of different ages and in multicultural environments.
Mechanical Engineer Qualifications / Skills:
• Associate degree in drafting in mechanical engineering.
• Previous working experience as a Mechanical Engineer for at least 12 months.
• Excellent with 2D or 3D engineering design (Creo preferred)
• Creating engineering CN/EN and handling BOM with/without the use of PDM and PLM.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Use of lean methods/tools will be added benefits.
• Problem solver with analytical aptitude.
