Optical Sensors System Engineering Technical Lead - GermanyTasks & Responsibilities
- Defining and implementing optical sensor systems with internal and external partners
- Drive development and optimization of our senor solutions
- Leading and guiding the technical discussions of a project team to drive and conclude hypotheses, design of experiments, products and process controls, failure analysis, etc.
- Coaching the engineers in executing engineering activities as well as managing project planning
- Managing and clearing any roadblocks to ensure that products are properly developed and handed over to production
- Establish documentation for gates and milestones
- Cooperate with Project Leaders to assure design to be compliant with requirements specs
- Core topics in our area are: Spectral sensor technology (light measurements, material analysis, color), vital sensor technology
- Taking over technical leadership function
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree in Physics/ Electronic/ Informatics /Mathematics /Chemistry
- Minimum 6 years’ experience preferred, within field of spectral sensor systems or optical vital sensors
- Solid experience in the creation of technical specifications based on input requirements and technical brainstorming
- Proven experience in technical coordinating interdisciplinary technical teams
- Excellent communications and team skills
- Knowledge of programming languages (ideally: MATLAB or Python)
- Knowledge of optics, optical science and/or optical sensing
- Good understanding of electronics
- Ability to travel worldwide
- Fluent in English
