Albelissa Engineering & Technical Recruiting is expanding operations and opening new offices. We are an international consulting company offering high value-added services in the fields of engineering, technical recruiting, IT and outsourcing of business processes.

We are looking for a:

Recruitment Business Development Manager - Belgium

to join our firm to drive growth and expand our commercial footprint in the Belgian market.

The Recruitment BD Manager will take a lead role in the identification and establishment of commercial relationships with external stakeholders.  Taking a customer-centric approach, this role will be instrumental in developing, facilitating and delivering the go-to market strategy for Albelissa’s portfolio of engineering and technical recruitment services. Responsibilities ranging from identifying the hot topic content and deciding how best to engage the market, driving campaigns, working on client targeting are keys to success.

Task and responsibilities

  • Origination of new accounts in Belgium (and abroad)
  • Deliver € 200-300K portfolio base value, yearly
  • Proactively working on onboarding and driving new client relationships
  • Providing technical information and guidance
  • Finishing quotations
  • Working closely with wider sales and support teams
  • Responsibility for achieving or exceeding territory sales plan
  • Coordinate all details relating to customer interactions at trade shows and conferences
  • Analyze various market segments as new opportunities present themselves for business considerations
  • Identify new opportunities that can significantly fuel growth
  • Establish or re-establish customer relationships by proactively calling and visiting new or inactive accounts/prospects
  • Keep relevant metrics updated related to proposals, contracts, conversion rates and revenues, and any additional requested metrics
  • Conduct lead generation activities directly and indirectly
  • Contact and visit customer and review and identify the strategic direction, problem areas and opportunities to promote sales growth


  • Demonstrated capacity to build his/her own portfolio of Clients
  • 5-7 years minimum business development experience
  • Recruitment experience is essential
  • English, French and Flemish fluency
  • Science-based university education would be an advantage
  • Client service focused sales generation
  • Account Management experience in a B2B environment
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and in written form
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to interact and influence with all levels across internal and external stakeholders
  • Driven to successfully convert business opportunities into profit and value
  • Ability to work independently from their home office and manage work with a remote team
  • Both face-to-face and phone-based client generation
  • Availability for business travel above 50% 

This role can be based remotely anywhere in Belgium 
Required Skills

5-7 years minimum business development experience
Recruitment experience
English, French and Flemish fluency
University degree, preferably science based
Account Management experience in a B2B environment
Business travel is 50%+
